Be careful who you ask for help because they might make you suffer even more. Glaucus and Scylla, the story of a sea-god who fell in love with a nymph named Scylla, but she rejected him and he went to find help. He went to Circe, a enchantress and begged for a love potion, but instead she fell in love with him and poisoned Scylla. By him going to ask for a poison for love is a mistake,he's trying to take the easy way out and at the end Scylla turned into a monster of destruction.
Circe will try to get whatever she wants even if it involves death of others. In the series of Gemma Doyle, her mother lived a double life and wasn't discovered until her death. Gemma found out that her mother was part of the order, a group of sorceress and Circe was the enemy trying to gain the magic of the realms, through Gemma's adventure in the Spence Academy she found out the cause of her mothers' death, Circe. Gemma struggled with the lost of her mom, but that gave her strength to put a stop to Circe; only the ones worthy of shall win the battle and gain power.

ReplyDeleteIn this series Gemma in the first book she is new at Spence, she was sent from India to London, England upon her mothers death. There she became friends with three girls. Pippa shes beautiful & envied by many, Ann a scholarship student who is always made fun of, & Felicity who loves power she is also beautiful but not much as Pippa.They become fascinated with the art teachers stores of The Order & The realms, but they were nothing but myths. Gemma has visions randomly that bring her to a journal. It was one of a girl who attended Spence Academy for Ladies. The girls where thrilled with the idea of the order so they made there own. & one day the actually went into the realms, amazed & it was addicting to be there because of the magic. Gemma there found her mother a lost soul in the realms & told her that she was a sorceress. At the end of the book Mrs. Moore the art teacher turned out to be Circe & her mother "crossed over" so her soul could rest. In the realms theres this place called the temple whoever goes there is blessed with power. But before you walk into a cave that releases your worst fears. For Gemma her worst fear was circe she appeared & her Felicity killed her with a bow-in-arrow. Gemma went to the temple & drank the water from the well & got all the power.
Opps i forgot Gemma she was tall & red head who what she wanted was to find out who she really was. & pippa wanted to be in love with a knight. & felicity wanted power & ann wanted to be beautiful. & they received all that in the realms, thats why it was so addicting to be there.Except Gemma only like going there to see her mother. The realms is like a magical world theres a lot of mythical creatures; gorgon, fairies, minotaurs, sirens, & nymphs.
